			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I often find that people are confused about photography as a profession (and become even more confused when we say that we don&#8217;t do weddings!).</p>
<p>The system of photography types and disciplines is nebulous, and is often a mystery to the photographers themselves. In part, it comes from not wanting to limit and label ourselves. It&#8217;s like, to get rid of a high school nickname you had to leave for college. Once you call yourself a product guy, you may have to leave the area to rebrand yourself as a portrait guy.</p>
<p>No doubt I missed a few types, but here&#8217;s an <span style="text-decoration: underline;">approximate</span> pyramid of how it works:</p>
